Enough with fast food burgers! If you love burgers but hate the idea of swallowing fillers, preservatives, and oily patties with questionable meat, here's one burger joint you and every other healthy foodie are sure to love: Teddy's Bigger Burgers! FYI: You might win an entire year's supply of burgers - details later!

Teddy's Bigger Burgers ownersFlanked by Ted Tsakiris and Rich Stula, the owners of Teddy's Bigger Burgers. Aloha!

They opened their doors to us bloggers last August 20, but they're officially opening to the public on August 23, 2014. If you come on their opening day, you just might win enough burgers to last you three, six, or even twelve months!

5 Reasons Health Buffs Should Visit Teddy's Bigger Burgers

Never heard of this burger resto before? That's because they're not from around here! Teddy's Bigger (and definitely better) Burgers hails all the way from Hawaii.

But before I share with you how exactly you can be one of the twenty lucky winners of Teddy's Bigger Burgers, here are 5 healthy reasons you should drop by their flagship store at Greenbelt 3 one of these days.

1. Teddy's Bigger Burgers offers 100 percent U.S. ground chuck beef.

Try to think back and remember the last fast food burger you ate. Are you sure it's pure beef? (Even meatballs from Ikea were found to have horse meat early last year.)

And even if you're sure you ate pure-beef patties, how can you be sure they didn't contain fillers, preservatives, or other additives that can harm your health? If you hate doing guesswork when it comes to what you eat, head over to Teddy's.

2. The beef patties at Teddy's are flame-broiled, not fried.

There's nothing I hate more than beef patties swimming in cooking oil - yuck! Thank God Teddy's Bigger Burgers flame-broils their patties. What's more, all patties are handcrafted, not prepared and churned out by some machine!

If you're a self-professed carnivore, you can enjoy Teddy's burger patties without feeling like you just drank two tablespoons of oil.

3. Teddy's Bigger Burgers offers a lettuce wrap option.

I often don't finish the bun of a burger because I know it's full of unhealthy carbs. If you're as finicky as I am, you don't have to worry at Teddy's because you can have your burger served with lettuce wrap instead of their potato buns!

Actually, that's what I tried during the private bloggers' event at Teddy's. I felt full without feeling guilty!

4. Hate mayo and all the other calorie-rich dressings? Just tell Teddy's.

There are people who actually love burgers but hate all the excess mayo dripping from the inside... In their case, Teddy's is the perfect burger place!

"If you hate dressings, just let us know and we are happy to season your burger so that it doesn't contain anything you don't like," owner Ted Tsakiris said.

5. Teddy's serves healthy salads (soon).

I don't like the idea of going to a fast food resto and not having the option of ordering vegetables (and French fries don't count). But owner Rich Stula let me in on a secret: Teddy's Bigger Burges will soon be offering their regular menu to the public - that includes vegetable salads!

"We've pared down the menu so that it's simpler, especially now that we just opened. But our complete menu actually has healthy salads," Rich said.

If their burgers are any indication of how good their salads will be, then I can't wait to try their salads!

Teddy's Bigger Burgers Bloggers' Night

Now, let me share a few noteworthy moments of the bloggers' opening. It was a fun and belly-busting experience! I confess I had meat sweats (when they said their burgers were big, they meant it!), but never did I get the "ugh" feeling that usually came with a fast food binge.

I love this statement! Hashtag: Size does matter!

Rich Stula and Ted Tsakiris"We know you'll be taking a lot of photos before you actually eat your burgers because you have to. But to us, it's like our heart stops. Coz you don't really get the essence of the burger [if you wait too long]!" joked Ted.

When I took a bite, I could tell!

"This is the quintessential Teddy's operation," Rich said, referring to the awesome service by the Filipino staff.

Based on how we were served that night, I understood why he was impressed. Service was speedy despite the deluge of orders and the staff were energetic and friendly!

Teddy's original burgersTeddy's Burgers Specialty ToppingsThey have four specialty toppings: Waikiki burger, Hawaiian style, Cajun burger, and Kailua burger. You can order these for any of their burgers - I chose Waikiki.

Their potato buns were tried by test groups about thirty times before they were approved specifically for the Philippine market. Talk about attention to detail!

TIP: Try their milkshakes. They contain absolutely no ice! They're 90 percent ice cream and 10 percent milk - you definitely get what you pay for at Teddy's Bigger Burgers!

Now, here's how you win a year's supply of Teddy's Bigger Burgers!

I promised a while back that I'm revealing a big secret: How you can win up to a year's supply of Teddy’s burgers. Because you've been very patient, here it is!
