5 Things I Like About LimiTado

LimiTado is more than just a celebrity store. Aside from being the brainchild of Filipino comic Tado Jimenez, LimiTado is also a cozy nook of knickknacks. Read on and find out about the 5 things I like about the LimiTado store and why it’s the favorite hangout of coffee lovers and werewolves.

Tado Jimenez

LimiTado: Full Moon Night

LimiTado welcomes everyone, normal or otherwise, who likes good coffee, booze, statement t-shirts, and Pinoy souvenirs. It has become the neighborhood hangout, the one place people go to after getting scolded by their bosses and spouses.

Reading at LimiTado

Last Saturday, with the full moon tempting all werewolves to reveal themselves, Tado Jimenez opened LimiTado to the public. Freshly brewed coffee was free-flowing and beer came cheap. Although I liked the occasional cup of coffee and bottle of beer, what I loved the most about LimiTado was, well, the store itself.

LimiTado interior

Owing its name (and arguably its reputation) to Tado Jimenez who was a celebrity in more ways than one, the Limitado store was actually more than just a celebrity store. Its interiors reminded me of the custom-made furnishings of Cubao X. I loved how the store was a memory of home: comfy, warm, and full of books and trinkets that I’d love to have.

Read on and find out about the 5 things I like the most about LimiTado and why its doors are open to werewolves, stalkers, and freeloaders!

Is Nuffnang Philippines down? A few minutes ago, I tried to visit the website of Nuffnang Philippines and I was surprised to see a greyed out page with a “Whoops” message. But why is Nuffnang Philippines down at the moment?

The message said, “Whoops! Nuffnang.com.ph seems to be having problems right now. Please be patient, we'll be right back!” The entire website of Nuffnang Philippines seems to be down.

Nuffnang Philippines is down

Nuffnang Philippines is Down?

It seems like it. Perhaps the servers are having problems, or the website itself is down for maintenance. I did a little sleuthing and found this information on the website of Nuffnang Singapore:

Dear Nuffnangers,

We are planning to take down the server at 2am on 8th March 2012, Thursday to improve our system. During this time, our Nuffnang site will be on a break! Fret not, blogs under our Nuffnang network will still load as normal but with all the Nuffnang ad units minimized or hidden. If everything goes as smoothly, our site should be up and running by 6am on Thursday!

We apologize for the inconvenience caused and thank you for your kind understanding.

It looks like Nuffnang Singapore underwent maintenance checks last March 8, 2012. Perhaps Nuffnang Philippines is also down for maintenance right now. However, there were no notifications on their Facebook page.

Let’s all hope that Nuffnang Philippines will be back up in a short while. In the meantime, our Nuffnang ads are still up and running, so there is no need to worry. I just hope they give us word on what’s happening on their Facebook page. And I also hope that Nuffnang Philippines is aware that their website is down for now.

To the best of my knowledge, Nuffnang Philippines has not sent out any email regarding any maintenance the website might be having. Let’s just hope that, just like Nuffnang Singapore, Nuffnang Philippines is down because it is under maintenance.

If you have any information on why Nuffnang Philippines is down, please share via the comment section below. BFast Restaurant by Chef Laudico is one of the best restaurant concepts I’ve ever encountered. Located in the heart of Ayala Triangle Gardens, BFast offers the things about food that I enjoy the most: affordable breakfast all day, scrumptious dessert, and free WiFi in an eco-friendly restaurant.

BFast Restaurant: My Happy Accident

Come to think of it, I came across Chef Laudico’s BFast Restaurant by accident. I was supposed to meet another blogger in Ayala Triangle Gardens in Makati and I wanted to choose a restaurant with WiFi.

As I strolled along the food strip, I came across BFast by Chef Laudico. A host immediately walked towards me and asked me if I wanted to dine at BFast. I took one look at the menu and I knew I was going to eat there. But I didn’t get to enjoy my first plate; read on and find out why.

Many want to customize the Windows startup sound of their laptops to make their laptops even more personalized! Imagine having a unique Windows startup sound or a Windows Logon sound whenever you switch on your laptop. That’s something you can even do to your loved one’s laptop – it can be a pleasant surprise!

Actually, the Windows startup sound per se can’t be modified if you are currently using Windows 7. For some reason, they have disabled this property, so it looks like they want all Windows 7 laptops to make use of the same Windows startup sound. But here’s the good news: you can customize the windows log on sound!

How to Customize Windows Logon Sound

Although you can’t customize the Windows startup sound, you can customize the Windows log on sound. There are ways to customize the startup sound but it will require hacking into your own computer and using third party programs, something which I don’t recommend. So, let’s do the next best thing: let’s learn how to customize the Windows logon sound. Below are the steps.

  • To customize your Windows log on sound, go to your Control Panel. You can find this when you click on your startup menu.
  • Click on Hardware and Sound option on the window that opens. How to Customize Windows LogOn Sound
