Cubik Eyewear Giveaway: Contest Winners!
And the Cubik Eyewear Blogging Contest is finally concluded! Woot! I’m starting New Year by a) recovering from an unexpected illness; b) giving away prizes and announcing the winners of the Cubik Eyewear Blogging Contest!
Before I announce the winners, I would like to thank everyone for their entries. I have gone through several favorites of mine and they got my attention in different ways. I then came up with the winners using the criteria (but of course!). So, after an obsessive-compulsive effort to tally, rank, and document all blog entries, I have come up with the list of winners.
Cubik Eyewear is my top choice when it comes to glasses and sunnies because, unlike other quality glasses, they are actually much more affordable. They are also very durable because they use acetate for the earpiece – that means you can bend them all the way to Timbuktu and they’re not going to break! That’s durability and snug fit at the same time.
They also have top-drawer lenses. For instance, their tinted glasses and shades are more durable because the tint is built INTO the lenses, instead of being coated onto the lens surface. So, even if you scratch your shades or tinted prescription eyewear, the tint stays there!
For all those reasons, I am a fan of Cubik Eyewear.
Cubik Eyewear is also an advocate of literacy, something I feel strongly about. Here’s one of their endorsement posters, with comedian and TV host Stanley Chi:
Anyhow, that’s enough suspense for those who joined the contest. Here are outstanding entries who made it to the final tally:
And at second place is this blog post:
I love the approach used by Jomar in his blog entry. It showcased geekiness in a funny manner. His blog post goes to second place, however, because he strayed from the topic in the later parts of the post (something which I’m guilty of sometimes, hehe). He gets an A for humor but the multiple topics in one post hurt his chances of winning first prize, aw. But I’m sure he gets to win many other contests, given his sense of humor! Good luck, dear! Kudos to you and all fellow self-proclaimed geeks out there!
And now, the winner of the Cubik Eyewear Blogging Contest… Drum roll, please…
Wooo! Clap clap clap!
I love the humor in this blog post. I also appreciate the extra effort in the pictures as Grace showed her glasses in different angles. I found her blog post very relatable and honest. She also followed instructions and stuck to the topic. What all these mean is that overall, she gets high scores in all the criteria. Bravo! Congratulations! Winning on New Year’s means you get to win contests the rest of the year, yes? Oh, don’t forget to send me your prescription so that I can get the glasses made according to your specifications.
